DoorDash is looking for a Director to build a world class Global Mobility and Immigration function.

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for someone to build a world-class Global Mobility and Immigration function. This is a unique opportunity to guide impact by building the team, programs, policies, and processes to support DoorDash in its expansion.

You will report to the Senior Director of People Ops and Technology on our People team.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead the design and execution of DoorDash's global strategy for mobility and immigration. We are in the early days, and are looking for a leader who is excited to build from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to create an employee-centric strategy that supports rapid business growth.
  • Build a team to design and implement scalable immigration and relocation programs, policies, and processes. Your team will work with partners such as Finance, Recruiting, HRBP, and departments to ensure that DoorDash's approach supports employees and is compliant with legal, tax, and local employment regulations.
  • Determine vendor strategy and manage vendor relationships to achieve program goals. You'll determine which parts of our programs are owned by vendors, and partner with vendors to ensure that our goals are achieved.
  • Ensure education and support is provided to employees and partners. Your team will ensure we are educated about global mobility and immigration, and that employees receive incredible support on immigration or mobility-related matters.
  • Provide strategic global mobility and immigration expertise to HRBPs, recruiters, and business leaders. Your team will help us reach our goals, and you will work with leaders across the company to ensure that our global mobility programs allow growth and expansion.

We're excited about you because…

  • You have 10+ years of global mobility and immigration experience
  • You have 5+ years of global mobility and immigration leadership experience in a multinational public company, during a period of rapid expansion
  • You have a Bachelor's degree; GMS or CRP certifications are helpful to have in this role
  • You are knowledgeable about the intricacies of global mobility and immigration, including tax, legal, compensation, visa, and work permit implications
  • You have an ability to operate and influence in a matrixed environment
  • You have experience frequently flexing from complex strategy to the lowest level of detail
  • You have experience designing efficient, scalable processes
  • You have experience managing vendors and building relationships with both all partners
  • You have direct experience managing people and teams
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
