Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

There is no relocation provided.

No remote option (post covid).

PC@IBM is responsible for one of the largest modern-managed Win10 deployments in the world with more than 300K devices under management. We have a team dedicated to the development, maintenance and modernization of our supplementary tools, and are seeking an IT Architect to assist with the upkeep of these processes. With so many endpoints, staying on top of fleet health and overall patch currency is always a challenge.

This role is combines a security owner with an architect responsibilities.

  • Ensure compliance with the IBM strategy, business objectives and compliance with the IBM Services Methods, Standards and Policies.
  • In this role you will constantly draw upon your Critical thinking, Research, information, analysis and problem-solving
  • Provision of early warning to the squad on technology evolution that could imply changes in the infrastructure
  • Responsibility for security service quality and delivery performance process and evidence together with the responsibility for driving and documenting the vulnerability scanning process including managing false positive findings and business exceptions
  • Definition of servers' configuration for upgrades and new servers and leading any technical change into the existing infrastructure
  • Interlock within worldwide architecture team and study solutions and implement them
  • Technical responsibility for the success of the proposed solution design
  • Develop and maintain technical design documentation
  • Supporting high level of client satisfaction by advising the client with their extensive knowledge of leading products and technologies
  • Support maintaining secure configuration of managed systems
  • Responsible for maintaining validated CI list in a dedicated tool
  • Responsible for Service Quality and Delivery Performance process and evidence
  • Responsible for driving and documenting Vulnerability Scanning Process such as :

o Managing monthly scanning,

o Preparation and executing action plan for resolution of vulnerabilities

o Managing false positive findings and business exceptions

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Required professional and technical expertise:

  • 5+ years of expert knowledge of Unix/Linux based systems
  • 5+ years of experience implementing AIX/Linux based solutions
  • 5+ years managing physical and virtual infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to support systems and troubleshoot problems remotely
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with team members
  • Ability to perform deep-dive investigation and provide recommendations based on the newest technical trends

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of agile principles
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure
