The Corporate Director of Maintenance will serve as an advisor,
trainer, educator and auditor and will assist and support the
facility Administrator. The Consultant will assist the facilities
and coordinate safety in servicing and promote incentive programs
to personnel to encourage a safe environment. The Consultant will
conduct facility assessments as they relate to Life Safety Code and
provide recommendations to endorse compliance with Federal
participation requirements for nursing facilities in the
Utilize observation and staff interviews to evaluate maintenance
of the facility and essential equipment, as related to Life Safety
Code in an effort to promote safe operating conditions. (i.e.,
Impact of facility environment and safety, functional and clean
equipment, and maintenance devices etc.).
Oversee new facility construction and initial LSC facility
Review other consultant reports to promote consistency in the
application of rules and regulations.
Review policies and procedures adopted by the facility to
promote regulatory compliance as related to Life Safety Code.
Review preventive maintenance programs and licensed contracted
services related to Life Safety Code.
Review facility reports (i.e., Disaster Plans, Temperature Logs,
Annual, Semi Annual & Quarterly Service Agreements, etc.).
Provide training to Administrator and facility staff.
Research other training methods, materials and resources.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during
Actively assist and participate in the enhancement of the lives
of our residents through our dedicated approach to patient care and
our census-building program.
Actively assist and participate in the development and retention
of staff through recruitment, training and nurturing the employees
of the nursing facility.
High School or equivalent
Previous experience as a maintenance supervisor is preferred
Strong maintenance background within a skilled nursing facility
or other long-term care facility
Must have excellent technical computer skills including
knowledge of Intermediate Excel, World, and Outlook
