Job Description:

UCT is seeking an experienced and talented Lean Six Sigma Programs Manager to join our team in Austin, TX! UCT is seeking an experienced Lean / Six Sigma Programs Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. This individual will be accountable for creating and managing process improvements yielding bottom-line productivity and improved delivery for the UCT Operations organization. The position will be responsible for leading the lean six-sigma transformation including design and deployment of processes, lead all site and customer Kaizens, and implement continuous improvement tools and techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Collaborates with and advises site leadership on the prioritization, selection, and resourcing of projects critical to achieving the organization's goals for customer satisfaction, KPI targets, and improvement towards operational excellence by leveraging lean principles in the company's business processes. * Facilitates change by leading the deployment, adoption, and sustainment of Lean thinking and a Lean-based Management System. * Responsible for managing the compliance to the site Lean-based Management System in all functional areas of the site. * Trains, leads, and monitors implementation of Lean principles ensures adherence to established standards for value stream mapping/analysis, kaizen & 5S improvement, and sustainment. * Manage project leaders and teams through the application of lean six sigma tools and techniques (DMAIC, PDCA, root cause analysis, risk assessment/FMEA, design for six sigma, mistake proofing). * Constantly seeks to identify, share and facilitate the adoption of best practices to eliminate waste and improve the performance of the Operations organization. Conducts process analysis and performance reporting in support of internal client needs. * Owns the evaluation and revision of training materials and supporting tools. * Supports day-to-day operation and performs other duties, responsibilities, and/or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification through a recognized, national organization * Demonstrated knowledge of DMAIC methodology applied to process design or process improvement in a production environment * Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, perform complex tasks, organize and follow through consistently and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Proven team builder and leader * Organizational performance dashboard or scorecard development experience * Strong written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills * Demonstrable skill in teaching, coaching, and influencing leaders; ability to influence upward, across, and down with skill, grace, and humor and without formal authority * Change leadership experience; willing to take risks, challenge the status quo, and work under ambiguous circumstances * Intellectually, emotionally and logically capable and confident; has the wisdom, intelligence, and stature to quickly gain credibility and become a trusted advisor to plant staff. * Application experience and skill (MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word; MINITAB, JMP or other analysis packages)

Educational/Certification Requirement:

* Technical (Math, Engineering, Science) Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. * Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. * Experience deploying transactional lean, manufacturing lean, variation reduction, and design for six sigma methodologies in manufacturing. * Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

* 7+ years of experience providing training to Executives, Managers, and Associates on Lean, Six Sigma methodologies. * 7+ years of successful leadership experience in project management and facilitation of large cross-functional teams in business operations and technology process improvement areas; manufacturing setting preferred with functional expertise in production, quality, product service, or engineering

Overnight Travel:

* Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon the need.
