Cloud and Network Services

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia's enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

The Digital Trust team is looking for strong software engineers to join our growing team.

Nokia plans to transform the IoT business with new strategic initiatives to be become the leader in IoT evolution. The eSIM/iSIM Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) capability will enhance Nokia's E2E IoT solution.

This position is for a Security Software Developer, who not only is keen to write high quality, modular software to run on any cloud, but has a keen eye for highly secure systems that are not easily attacked and compromised. Be a team player in a highly efficient and highly collaborative development team producing a product with potential through the roof.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Exposure to SAFe, understand the tenants of Agile/Scrum, and drive results from a highly competent team.
  • As part of the development team, be responsible for specification review & analysis, feature estimate, design, implementation, system integration, test automation and quality assurance of Digital Trust products
  • Serve as a technical leader in eSIM/iSIM RSP (Remote SIM Provisioning) security, eSIM/iSIM RSP for Consumer & M2M specifications, deployment architecture, etc. Also, develop the process & technical documentation to meet eSIM/iSIM RSP certification requirements.
  • Prepare design documentation, test plan and test cases (e.g., integration, system, reliability, stability and performance) according to product specification and architecture
  • Responsible for overall application development, testing and deployment by using continuous development methodology & DevOps
  • Keep up-to-date on industry forums (e.g. 3GPP, GSMA) and drive technical requirements into Nokia product development.
  • Working closely with management, customer support and services organization to understand issues and present solutions. Help team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. Communicating task and project status to the team and engineering

Required Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g. CS, EE, Math)
  • At least 10 years of experience in the below qualifications
  • Strong understanding of OOD, data structures, and algorithms
  • Solid software development experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages
  • Knowledge in Java, Cloud, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Database, Containerized Applications, Microservices, etc.
  • Knowledge in Agile development process & DevOps practices
  • Knowledge in design for security and security & privacy requirements (e.g. GDPR, etc.)
  • Demonstrable skill in several programming languages: e.g. Java, C/C++, Javascript, PHP, python, perl
  • Experience with source control & loadbuild tools: e.g. git, gerrit, Jenkins
  • Understanding/exposure to cryptography: symmetric, asymmetric, PKI
  • Sound understanding of operator- and cloud-technology.
  • Solid presentation skills. Ability to engage the hands-on technical experts.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/team skills
  • Experience using Linux and Windows Desired Qualifications
  • Fluent in oral and written English.

Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

  • Masters/Ph.D. degree
  • Hands-on experience in cryptographic protocols, ciphers, hashes
  • Use of well-known cryptographic tools (OpenSSL, BouncyCastle, JCA)
  • Experience in security tools and techniques
  • Expert use of git, gitlab, github, jenkins
  • Experience in data-bases: MariaDB, Oracle, postgres
  • Experience in mobile app development: Android, iOS
  • Device level protocol Experience
  • Passion, positive attitude, engagement and desire to take over challenging assignments as part of a team, making things WORK with quality
  • Hunger for growth in the security business
  • Ability to work across multi-national matrix organization
  • Self-starter - able to demonstrate strong sense of business ownership and leadership
  • Team Player - able to communicate effectively across Practices and Customer Teams
