The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Global Brand Marketing Manager, 3M Corporate Brand, within our Corporate Affairs organization you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supporting development and implementation of on-brand company brand communication and activations across 3M Brand, Communications, Strategic Partnerships, Sponsorships and internal engagements.
  • Supporting development of global brand campaign(s) with a deep understanding of IMC process and development, while bringing an innovative mindset with new ideas and process optimizations forward
  • Leading agile cross-functional workstreams with internal SME partners and agencies to develop creative assets while managing assigned budget and project timelines
  • Developing, producing, and implementing brand communications frameworks (global guidelines, toolkits etc.) and scale learnings across 3M to help drive brand advocacy and alignment
  • Analyzing external environment (i.e. cultural dynamics, industry and consumer trends, competitive positioning and best practice brand marketing strategies) to ensure deliverables align to/deliver against enterprise priorities
  • Partnering collaboratively with Global Brand Leader and cross-functional SMEs (Insights, Integrated Media, Area Brand teams, Communications, Sponsorship teams and agency partners) to elevate quality of integrated deliverables while ensuring on-time delivery

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's Degree in Marketing (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
  • Ten (10) years of combined experience in brand management and/or integrated marketing in a private, public, or military environment
  • Five (5) years of people leadership experience in a private, public, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Twelve (12) years of combined experience in brand management, integrated marketing, advertising; strong preference given to candidates with experience leading global brand strategy and/or global brand teams within a brand-led organization
  • Seven (7) years of people leadership experience
  • Experience synthesizing and presenting foreign ideas and concepts to audiences of different levels
  • Sees around corners to predict where follow-through on brand initiatives may not happen and continues to drive people forward using soft- and hard-skills, as needed
  • Strong communications (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence and navigate across a diverse and complex organization.

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
