Job Summary:The Human Resources Information System Specialist is responsible for supporting a variety of human resources (HR) functions, including but not limited to New Employee processing, Records Retention, HRIS & Compliance, and in other areas as needed, while providing exceptional customer service to our internal & external customers.Essential Functions:Assist HRIS Administrator in processing new hires in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)Enter and update a variety of personnel information in the HR software following established HRIS guidelines.Assist HRIS Administrator in maintaining employee information in HRIS.Contact programs in order to collect any outstanding employee forms or other documentation as required.Compose correspondence, create and maintain spreadsheets to provide current and concise information that is easily accessible to the human resources department in areas of assigned responsibility.Other Functions:Provide support and back-up to Human Resources Information System Department as needed.Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience performing human resources administrative duties.Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Must be organized, thorough, reliable and consistent.Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.Ability to display patience and helpfulness, while handling sensitive and confidential information and situations.Must possess a valid state driver's license and be eligible to drive to conduct business on behalf of SWK.PreferredBilingual (English/Spanish) skills.Physical Demands:Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, stooping, reaching, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.Work Environment:General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
