Normally Mon - Fri 8a-5p. Hours will flex with end user support, go-lives, downtime, etc. & may require off shifts (including night shift & weekends 8 or 12 hr. shifts). Travel required to hospital locations within the health system.This role will work between hospitals in the organization - travel between facilities is required.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Technologies, you will have the opportunity to transform health care by analyzing, designing, implementing, and evaluating information and communication systems that enhance individual and population health outcomes, improve patient care, and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship. This position analyzes, manages and communicates health information through clinical information systems and applications.

+ Conducts analysis of clinical and organizational needs. Identifies, designs and evaluates clinical information systems and applications. Recruits clinicians for work groups. Meets with clinicians for competency validation. Participates in the development of organizational policies and initiatives related to collecting, managing and communicating clinical information.

+ Ensures information systems policies, procedures and technologies comply with applicable laws and regulations. Designs and delivers training materials to educate users about information technologies.

+ Participates in EMR design, build, implementation and training for new providers or practices. Acts as an agent of change to help promote organization adoption of EMR and workflow to optimize patient safety and experience.

What You Will Need

Education:

+ High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with proven ability to collaborate with management, medical staff and employees at all levels within the organization, using a customer-focused approach to gain information to improve services.

+ Strong analytical ability to solve complex problems.

+ Detail orientation and time management skills.

+ Knowledge of clinical practice settings and clinical workflow in a hospital setting.

+ Troubleshooting skills to find solutions to difficult human, clinical or administrative problems

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in healthcare informatics, nursing, or other related field. Registered Nurse (RN) or other similar clinical designation.

+ Experience with mapping clinical and operational workflows using workflow diagramming tools.

+ 3 years desired of technical experience in a healthcare or business environment preferred.

+ Experience in systems analysis/programming, customer service, vendor information, information systems, and/or project management.
