The Director of Asset Management will lead all efforts
associated with portfolio risk and default servicing for AlphaFlow.
You must be a proven leader who is not only dedicated to continuous
growth of your direct reports, but someone who others trust as a
mentor and strategic visionary. Simply put, you must be someone who
refuses to let your team fail.
AlphaFlow currently sells loans to a number of institutional
buyers, and the Director of Asset Management will be responsible
for furthering relationships with those clients through gaining a
true understanding of their portfolio strategy. Through your
passion for solving problems via technology, you implement
operational improvements and facilitate product build with the help
of our team of engineers and product managers.
Your direct reports will include a talented team of Asset
Specialists and Portfolio Analysts. The bar is set high for this
group, and you must be someone who doesn't back down from raising
it further. You set clear expectations and hold others accountable
This position reports directly to our VP of Servicing Operations
and will engage with other senior members of the management team,
including our CEO & Founder. This role will ideally be based in
Austin (we're also open to San Francisco).
Deliverables you'll be measured on:
- Team Building/Recruiting. Determine resource requirements for
the Asset Management team and lead recruiting, onboarding, and
mentoring of team members.
- Portfolio Reporting: Manage investor reporting functions to
further relationships with loan buyers.
- Default Servicing Strategy: Lead portfolio-wide efforts to
reduce risk and maximize return for investors.
- Relationship Management: Work closely with external parties
(lenders, borrowers, loan buyers, service providers) and internal
teams (Investment Management, Product, Engineering, Lender
Partnerships) to monitor portfolio risk and identify areas of
- Performance Improvement: Track, benchmark, and measure loan
performance trends and the impact of specific loss mitigation
strategies. Contribute Domain Expertise. Provide input to
AlphaFlow's technology team to help develop or improve software
solutions related to the Asset Management efforts.
Skills and Experience that will help set you up for success in
- History of success in leading the loss mitigation efforts for
- Experience in managing investor or loan buyer
- 6+ years of experience in real estate and/or lending.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal
- Ability to multitask while balancing attention to detail.
- Authorization to work in the United States without

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Real
- Early-stage startup experience.
- Existing relationships within real estate lending
