You will be accountable for gathering the partner''s technical requirements on selling and positioning Prisma Cloud.. As an extended member of the Sales and Channels team, the Prisma Cloud Channel SE will align with the Prisma Cloud Sales teams and Channel Business Managers in the region to create, update and deliver the partner technical enablement and business strategy.Your relationships with partners will enable them help our mutual customers detect and prevent advanced cyberattacks and breaches by being their resource for all elements of the public cloud environment security environment, providing expertise for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), other Public Clouds, Devops & Compute security i.e. containers, serverless frameworks, API security, web application security, cloud infrastructure entitlement management and hosts. Your technical sales expertise will drive confidence in our solutions, ultimately setting our partners up for success. You''ll be working with all levels of large partner organizations with a focus on developing partnerships based on a long term, ''outcome where everybody wins'' strategy.Your ImpactEstablish yourself as a trusted advisor to Business Partners, Prospects and Customers working with your Channel Business Manager and the local partners within your territoryEnsure ongoing customer satisfaction, support, and adoptionContinuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership of applicable technologiesUnderstand and effectively differentiate against our top competitorsAct as the customer advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the customer until the issue is resolvedProvide technical enablement and training to strategic/national/international partnersParticipate in partner business planning activities by supporting the development and execution of the partner technical business planFacilitate the preparation of partner Sales Engineers (SEs) in achieving Palo Alto Networks and industry certificationsOversee partner pre-sales activities, including competitive analysis, test plans, demos, proofs of concept, and RFPsCross-communicate Prisma Cloud and partner value propositions, especially between partner and Palo Alto Networks field SEsUnderstand and effectively present the Prisma Cloud Security PlatformCreate, execute, and review a technical readiness plan with the CBM/regional sales team, including measurable achievements to track progressProvide localized technical training to partner''s pre-sales and post-sales technical resourcesFacilitate / Support product/service training of the partner sales teamsEducate and promote the use of Palo Alto Networks support model and effective use of available resourcesCollaborate with the CBM/regional sales team on the development and management of the channel partner business plan and mutual action plansAct as the Partner advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the partner until the issue is resolvedUnderstand and communicate the business advantages of a partnership with Palo Alto NetworksDevelop a strong understanding of Palo Alto Networks'' channel partner objectives QualificationsYour ExperienceBSCS or equivalent with 3+ years of experience as a pre-sales engineer,, solutions architect, or systems integratorGeneral understanding of local/national/international partner community, technology trends, and the competitive landscapeExperience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud deployment and administrationExperience designing and implementing cloud native security services in Public cloud environments.Understanding of Public Cloud API based security and compliance standardsGood understanding of evolving compute solutions such as VM''s, Containers, Container On Demand and ServerlessUnderstanding of Web Application Firewalls, DDOS & botnets will be advantageousComfortable with the main Linux distros as well as a solid understanding of various runtime environments including Docker / CRI-O / rktHands-on experience on Kubernetes platform to deploy and manage microservices and integrating with service-mesh (Istio).Good understanding & expertise of IAC (CFT / Ansible / Terraform), CI/CD (Jenkins / Bamboo / CICircle etc.) tools, Code Repos (Github, Bitbucket etc), Repository (Jfrog Artifactory, Redhat Quay, Docker Hub, AWS ECR etc).Programming experience in a higher-level language such as NodeJS, Ruby, Chef, Puppet, YAML, JSON, and/or Python is desirable and will be an added advantageExperience in DevOps will be an added advantageExperience working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel centric go to market approachStrong analytical skills to evaluate complex multivariate problems and find a systematic approach to gain a quick resolution, often under stressMature and effective time-management skillsOpen to travel up to 50% of the time as appropriate Additional InformationThe TeamWe have invested in technologies that are reshaping the network security landscape.
