If you are seeking a role that offers you the opportunity to work with clients through critical issues, consider a career in Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) Technology practice.Work you'll do:* Install, configure, manage, and maintain databases (production and non-production) for critical customer-facing applications* Setup and manage database servers for Oracle 11g/12c, MongoDB 3.x/4.x, MySQL 5.x and Microsoft SQL 2014/2016/2017* Create and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, triggers and stored procedures* Perform and schedule routine maintenance on databases* Demonstrate knowledge of backups, restores, recoveries, high availability, and disaster recovery scenarios* Communicate regularly with technical and non-technical employees to ensure database integrity and security* Write database documentation including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionaries* Provides on-call support on a rotating schedule or as needed for emergency situations, including outside of normal business hoursRequired Qualifications* 3+ years of experience of Database Administration with proficiency in working with Oracle 11g/12c or SQL server 2014/2016/2017 databases* Experience installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining databases* Experience with troubleshooting and debugging databases* Experience writing complex queries with SQL or PL/SQL* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureDesired Qualifications* Experience with MySQL, MongoDB or DocumentDB* Experience with 3rd party tools like Splunk and AppDynamics* Experience with AWS cloud migration* Excellent communication and relationship management experience* BS or BA from an accredited University or College* Ability to work independently with minimum supervisionThe teamSystems EngineeringOur Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition.
