The Supplier Quality Technician will be based in Austin, TX.
Responsible for engineering tests and technical functions related
to the support of Supplier Quality Engineering.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
Audits processes, tests and inspects products and/or develops,
compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain
quality and reliability of products.
Working from engineering drawings, specifications, schematics,
diagrams, written descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform
complex engineering testing, checkout, First Article Inspection,
analysis, internal corrective actions and supplier correction
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas
and confers with management or engineering staff to determine
quality and reliability standards.
Selects processes to be audited from primarily the manufacturing
areas and checks for a variety of features, including ESD
(electro-static discharge) and handling practices, documentation,
training and process integrity.
Selects products for audits at specified stages in the
production or post-production process, and tests products for
variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and
mechanical, electrical or cosmetic characteristics.
Records audit data, applying statistical quality control
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate
deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production
standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within
limits of equipment capability.
Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer
Download quality information from quality system to be used for
Analyzes engineering test results and implements process changes
to resolve problems.
Provides factory support to identify and resolve issues
associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing.

Typically requires an Associate degree in electronics, military
technical training or equivalent experience and training. Typically
requires 2 years of related experience.
Demonstrates technical skills.
Requires basic competency related to function.
Demonstrates basic functional and/or process knowledge and
participates in process.
Has awareness of Flextronics technologies/techniques.
Use of the following tools may be required:
Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to
include, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation
Requires the ability to utilize charts, tables and
specifications, and operate a variety of measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of typical quality tools, such as 8d,
statistical process control, FEMA and control plans.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
