We are looking for resourceful individuals with the ability to
work efficiently under deadlines. This is a full-time position with
Vaco as a vendor at a global tech company. As part of the vendor
team, you will interact with peers, language specialists,
engineers, product managers and program managers. You will have a
multi-faceted role working across different projects, building and
supporting search products. Using the client's proprietary tools,
you will develop and improve web crawling and data ingestion
pipelines. This is currently a "work from home" position due to the
pandemic, but this is subject to change per the client's request.
Responsibilities Support the product end to end Data modeling,
ingestion, feature triggering, debugging, engineering tools usage,
monitoring and maintaining pipeline. Expand and improve the
client's knowledge base, in order to refine search engines to
provide better user experience. Work across global vendor teams on
a continuous pipeline of search features and products, which may
require meetings outside of standard business hours. Provide end to
end support from research, product definition, development, and
maintenance on search features. Working cross-functionally with
extensive use of SQL queries and data analysis. Organize vertical
products that are ready for launch in regular cycles under critical
deadlines with the highest launch approval standards. Provide
initial troubleshooting of the tool sets used and appropriately
escalate issues. Work across global vendor teams on a continuous
pipeline of search features and products, which may require
meetings outside of standard business hours. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
practical experience. Demonstrated scriptingprogramming capability,
including but not limited to Advanced spreadsheet manipulation
hands-on experiences on programming languages (e.g. Java, Python,
Formal knowledge and understanding of object-oriented programming.
Experience with configuring software applications, software product
management, software development and lifecycle, bug tracking, and
basics of version control. Ability to demonstrate critical
thinking, problem solving, attention to detail and flexibility in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment. Team player and effective
communicator in presenting ideas to people with different levels of
technical background. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of
experience on complex ETL systems and data pipeline management.
Expert in communicating with engineering product development teams.
Innovative and creative approach in solving complex and abstract
problems. Familiarity of SQL. Fluent in other language(s).
Experience working with remoteinternational teams.
