Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. Experience with bandwidth forecasting, bandwidth management, capacity planning, netflow, sflow, streaming telemetry, carrier circuit utilization, ingress traffic analysis, or egress traffic analysis. Experience with Solarwinds, Sevone, Op Manager, Splunk, or Riverbed. Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience with ISP network operations. Experience in enterprise networking or service provider networking. Experience with statistical data analysis, time series forecasting, and working knowledge of R or Python and SQL queries. About the job A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Carryout network capacity management of Google’s Enterprise Network, to proactively support network demands and service meeting Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Establish best practices for capacity planning and drive capacity planning to support business demands in a timely and cost effective manner. Engage with internal consumers to derive network demands, translate them into network capacity and deliver network capacity forecasts. Lead demand and supply planning meetings with cross functional teams, reviewing demand/supply risks, budget and efficiency goals. Manage provisioned network capacity to support service level goals of network workloads.
