Job Description:
Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and verify,

experience and other factors. JANUS Research Group is looking for a
Database Administrator that will be a member of our Data Science
Environment team, working to establish and support the data
warehouse for Army Futures Command in Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud. We
are looking for a capable database administrator to fill a critical
position on our team in Austin, TX. This position is primarily
onsite, however some hybrid work may occur. Responsibilities:
Server as a Database Administrator for Army Futures Command in our
Azure Gov Cloud Data Science Environment at multiple classification
levels. Implement the technical plans for the data architecture for
Army Futures Command with proficiency. Implement ETL pipelines to
move, transform, and secure data. Collaborate with cloud
infrastructure and DevOps teams to optimize queries, storage
procedures, and schemas. Understand and implement DoD cybersecurity
policies to database infrastructure. Support data validation,
optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations in
cloud environments. Utilize cloud-native tools and best practices
for data ingestion, storage, and processing. Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline. 5 years of
related work experience in database administration including a
minimum of two years of experience specifically involving DoD
infrastructure. Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX Experience with strategies for
data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a
database. Experience working in a data warehouse environment
including metadata and repository creation. Experience with data
warehousing blueprints and integrating systems. Experience
optimizing object and data models and the metadata repository for
better management and quicker access. Experience coordinating
numerous ongoing data related efforts and independently managing
tasks. Experience performing installations, upgrades, patches and
managing user access permissions. Excellent communication and
collaboration skills. Desired Qualifications: Experience with Cloud
Data Services (Azure). Experience working in a government cloud
environment (Azure Government, AWS GovCloud). GitHub/GitLab
experience with Git-based deployment strategies. Familiarity with
cloud security practices, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. Ability
to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines in cloud environments.
