Private Equity team at AWS, you will provide customers with M&A
advice using AWS' unique technical perspective, including due
diligence and decision support for Private Equity firms and their
portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will be able to perform
objective analysis of complex IT workloads, including legacy
systems, and create high-quality written reports. You must have
basic interviewing skills and the ability to use deductive and
inductive reasoning in the context of technical M&A activities.
You must possess a technical background that enables you to drive
customer engagement with business, finance, and IT executives to
the highest levels of our Private Equity customers. The ideal
candidate will have the presence and capability to communicate
diligence findings and the benefits of cloud computing to
application architects, enterprise architects, platform architects,
infrastructure architects and engineers, and enterprise security
and compliance teams. You will also need a demonstrated ability to
think strategically and long-term about the needs of businesses,
and be deeply familiar with complex, legacy IT environments
including applications, middleware, storage, networks, information
security, and operations. You will work closely with AWS Account
Solutions Architects, Business Development, Professional Services
teams, and partners to help Private Equity customers migrate their
legacy applications as well as develop and build cloud-native
applications to grow and transform their businesses. This includes
leveraging successful migration patterns, cloud-native application
architectures (Microservices, Serverless, Containers) and
application development and operations practices (Agile, DevOps,
DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), and AI/ML
and Generative AI. Responsibilities will include helping customers
understand the technical strengths and weaknesses of the companies
they are investigating for acquisition. You will also help
portfolio companies integrate acquisitions into their AWS
environment, identify digital transformation opportunities, and
perform technical gap analysis of portfolio companies in
preparation for sale. Key job responsibilities • Analyze business
problems and help Private Equity clients understand the strengths
and weaknesses of their acquisition targets • Be objective and act
in the best interests of the client • Help companies develop and
implement computer systems and information technology (IT)
solutions • Recommend industry-relevant solutions that enable
organizations to leverage technology and create value • Demonstrate
in-depth technical capabilities, including legacy and data center
technology, and professional knowledge • Establish technical
credibility (personally or with the broader technical team), and
drive discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior
Developers, and M&A Deal Teams from customers and partners
across the PE segment • Scope customer engagements, with attention
to clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria • Provide
technical & architectural guidance to Private Equity firms and
their portfolio of investments and help develop cost optimization
strategies • Work closely with Private Equity Firms and their
portfolio companies to ensure they have the technical resources
required to be successful using AWS services • Build rapport with
Executives at both the Private Equity firm and their companies,
leveraging your understanding of enterprise architecture, mergers
and acquisitions, migration, cost optimization of IT
infrastructure, and other key technologies (Cloud, software
development, open-source software tools, infrastructure management,
migrations, etc.) • Support the wider AWS customer base with

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
