Installation Technician role to be part of a highly creative,

Installation Technician role to be part of a highly creative,
energetic, accomplished and skilled group.
The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for assisting
customers with understanding their license position relative to
their installed software, consulting on best practices, and
ensuring that the customer experience is only of the highest
quality. This position involves direct customer interaction, data
reconciliation and consulting to internal sales teams as
needed.
The Lead Installation Technician will be required to:
•Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot new Access Points, and
data switches.
•Label, route and install cat5e/cat6 cabling systems in new and
existing environments.
•Preform equipment move, add, changes tasks as required.
•Ensure that systems are installed properly and on time in
accordance with procedures and quality control standards.
•Provide tier one troubleshooting for installation related
activities.
•Provide feedback and information to identify any potential
barriers to timely execution of the project, such as construction
delays or changes.
•Communicate with Managers and/or Project Manager to resolve
discrepancies or issues.
•Provide regular progress updates to all stakeholders.
•Provide accurate documentation for completed work.
•Responsible for providing proper documentation for inventory
control and for maintaining proper inventory for projects.
•Attend construction meetings and perform site assessments.
Required skill for the Lead Installation Technician:
•At least 3 years of experience with cabling installation of data
networks and/or repairing, maintaining data networks.
•Work history must display stability and consistent attendance.
•Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and carry out
assigned tasks with limited supervision.
•Mechanical aptitude and thorough knowledge of hand and power
tools.
•Basic knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routers, firewalls, and CAT5
technologies.
•Ability to read and interpret construction documents and wiring
diagrams.
•Ability to perform detailed work, being careful about detail and
being thorough in completing tasks
•Ability to follow installation, testing, and troubleshooting
procedures
***Position
will require extensive travel (up to 70%)***
