Job Description:

Company located in Downtown Austin, is seeking to fill a Software Asset Manager role to be part of a highly creative, energetic, accomplished and skilled group. You will be an essential part of the sales organization, and will be a key player in the development of the organization.
 
The Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist is responsible for assisting customers with understanding their license position relative to their installed software, consulting on best practices, and ensuring that the customer experience is only of the highest quality. This position involves direct customer interaction, data reconciliation and consulting to internal sales teams as needed.
 
Key Areas of Responsibility for the Software Asset Manager
• Leverage Companies License Manager for data collection, normalization, reconciliation and other features as needed
• Work directly with customers to provide SAM service
• Data collection of customer licensing information from customer, software partners and resellers
• Data reconciliation of customer licensing and purchase history for customer License Position
 
Experience profile for the Software Asset Manager
• Licensing knowledge of product use rights within the software industry
• Software Asset Management knowledge and experience
• Real world business process analysis
• IT experience and capability
• Client facing presentation and interview skills
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
 
Qualifications for the Software Asset Manager
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years industry experience
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited higher learning institution
