Details:PurposeInstalls, configures, and maintains operating system
components, application servers, and libraries that support
software development. Prepares system documentation, develops
standards and education for users. Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, maintain and support hardware using Windows
and Linux operating systems on both servers and workstations.
- Participate in Windows and Linux patching activities.
- Support compliance requirements by performing SCAP scans,
Nessus scans, application of STIGs and related tasks to improve the
security footprint.
- Deploy, maintain and configure client operating system images
and system encryption.
- Develop, improve, troubleshoot and implement new solutions that
meet the resource demands on a system or network.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and support SIMS
software and database.
- Work with end users and other team members to analyze, design,
develop, debug, document, maintain, and enhance applications that
comply with internal standards while maintaining or improving
accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify, validate, and test code changes using supported
configurations. Analyze, optimize and tune SQL.
- Consult with end users for project requirements and problem
definition as necessary. Provide user training, documentation and
support for supported applications.
- Maintain a detailed work log and revision notes.
- Other related functions as assigned.Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least two years of demonstrated
experience designing, developing and testing applications within
the last six years.
- At least two years with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL,
MySQL, etc.).
- Experience working with stakeholders to document project
requirements and timeline estimates.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively analyze,
test, and debug complex code.
- Must hold a DoD 8570.01 approved certification to satisfy an
IAT Level 2 or higher certification, or must obtain
certification(s) within 180 days from hire date.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as
appropriate.Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to
work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of
planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time.
The position will require attention to detail, effective
problem-solving skills and excellent judgment. Ability to work
independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain
a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily
supervision and effectively communicate with all groups of clients.
Able to work under pressure and accept supervision. Regular and
punctual attendance.US Citizen. Selected applicant is subject to

- Knowledge of SIMS software
- Experience with vulnerability/compliance scanning tools
(ACAS/Nessus, Retina, MBSA, SCAP etc.)
- Experience with the implementation of STIG/SRG compliance
configurations
- Experience in deploying and supporting DoD secured
networks.
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework and/or DISA IA
controls.
- Eligibility for immediate access to classified information
- Additional experience in required areas.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using SQL Servers
- Three years recent experience using Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle
(Forms/APEX) Developer Suite for application development.
- At least three years of experience tuning applications.
- At least five years of experience developing applications.
- Demonstrated ability to develop application/complex reports for
business operation units.
- Experience working in a UNIX or Linux environment.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.General NotesAn agency designated
