We're looking for a Software Engineer in Tampa Bay, Florida. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The Opportunity This is a Sr. Software Engineering role in the Live Auction development team. Members of this team perform all development, maintenance, and integration on Ritchie Bros'. Live Auction platform including live bidding, inventory management, enterprise integration, etc. We are looking for a generalist who prides themselves on writing clean code, is passionate about improving themselves, their team, and our organization, and is excited to contribute to an innovative, diverse, and growing technology company. In This Role You'll --- Design, implement, and support features on our React-based front end application --- Contribute to the design, implementation, and support of our Java-based back-end systems. --- Take ownership of parts of our microservices architecture running within AWS --- Provide production support for products as needed --- Develop and maintain the CI/CD pipeline --- Be dedicated to the quality of your work through unit testing, automation testing, and assisting our 3-tier support staff when incidents arise --- Research and keep up to date on development best practices Here's What You Bring --- Positive attitude to learn, grow and contribute each day --- 3+ years' experience with spring-boot based Java applications --- 3+ years designing and developing microservices --- Expert knowledge of HTML5/XHTML, CSS, JSON, XML. --- Expert knowledge in Typescript and JavaScript frameworks such as React --- Experience with build and packaging tools such as Gradle, Maven, yarn, npm. --- Deep prior experience building software in a professional, multi-team, environment --- Knowledge of Agile and the full software development lifecycle, including deployment and operation --- Experience in working on containerized deployments using Kubernetes, Helm, Docker --- Experience in working on messaging-based technologies like Kafka, ActiveMQ, AWS SNS, AWS SQS What We Offer Our success is built on the drive and dedication of our people.
