Summary Posted: Mar 8, 2023 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number:200461305 Apple has an opportunity for an RF Design Engineer / Research Scientist to apply their technical expertise in RF technology to user research in support of the design and development of Apple's wireless products. This role will support all phases of product development in the context of wireless connectivity during common everyday use. They will work closely with multi-functional teams including Human Factors, Antenna Design, RF Design, QA, Software, and more. Key Qualifications Experience working with RF and wireless connectivity technologies (e.g. Bluetooth, WiFi, and UWB), preferably for consumer products Experience with data processing and visualization skills using R, Python, Matlab, or a similar language Experience setting up research plans and schedules Experience identifying and directing resources required to implement successful research Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams to resolve technical issues Strong grasp of the theory behind RF and wireless connectivity technologies Strong organizational and social skills, both verbal and written Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Willingness and ability to travel within the USA Description - Collaborate with internal and multi-functional partners in defining critical research questions to inform RF/wireless product development - Identify and understand users characteristics, environments and use cases related to RF/wireless connectivity that can impact target performance metrics - Design and implement user studies to quantify end-to-end RF/wireless system performance and root cause potential shortcomings - Process, analyze and visualize data to formulate insights and inform product decision/trade-offs - Communicate results and insights to multi-functional team members Education & Experience - MS or BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related).
