As a Technical Writer Intern, you will work side by side with Development Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other Technical Writers to write, edit, and revise documentation for product development, support services, and customer/end-user activities. You'll retrieve, organize, analyze, and synthesize -basic subject matter and transforms it into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand information for many different audiences, in a wide variety of formats. As the Technical Writer Intern, you will employ -various authoring and desktop publishing software tools to produce finished products that include printed or electronic publications and integrated online help systems.You will:

  • Assist -with the writing and editing of hardware or software product documentation, which includes installation, operation, and maintenance instructions and other technical publications such as technical advisories, technical notes, and release notes
  • Follow -standard technical writing practices under the supervision of others
  • Communicate -primarily with technical writer mentors, department manager, and other professionals in the work group
  • Complete -writing tasks and assignments under the direct supervision of technical writer mentors
  • Solve -problems of limited scope and complexity under the direction of others
  • Leverage -a variety of information sources (for example: bug comments, community forums, and conversational knowledge transfer)
  • Work -with others to help manage documentation source control check-ins and output
  • Work -in a single-source documentation environment using industry tools and technologies (for example: Adobe FrameMaker, SDL Live Content Architect, DITA, and XML)Take the first step towards your dream career
