Seeking an IT professional who uses analysis and design techniques
to solve business problems using technology. The ideal candidate
will have strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical
skills. Must have the ability to communicate in a professional,
customer-focused manner. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Junior Extraction,
Transformation, Load (ETL) Developer performs moderately complex to
complex(journey-level) systems analysis work for the data
warehouse. Work involves analysis of user requirements, procedures,
to automate processing or to enhance, improve and maintain existing
systems. The Junior ETL Developer collaborates with mixed-matrix or
multi-discipline teams across the agency. Works under general
supervision, with limited moderate latitude for the use of
initiative and independent judgment. The ideal candidate must have
a secure, dedicated workspace with Internet service, ability to
maintain a reliable consistent work schedule and be available for
weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and
other applications during regular business hours. GENERAL DUTIES:
-Understands and utilizes established ETL strategies, architecture,
and design for the agency. -Understands and utilizes standards for
all ETL processes for the data warehouse as set by the data
architect or the senior ETL developer. -Assist with designing,
developing, and testing ETL processes for the data warehouse.
-Documents ETL processes to extract data from existing systems into
the data warehouse. -Assists with enhancing the organization's data
warehousing strategy. -Assists with defining and documenting the
technical architecture of the data warehouse, including the
physical components and their functionality. -Assists with
documenting the as-is schemas currently in use at TWC. -Assists
with creating model ETL mappings and shares with other ETL
Developers. -Performs other analysis and documentation tasks as
required to enhance data warehouse functionality. -Actively
participates in maintaining and providing input to the departmental
dashboard. -Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and agency
laws, rules, policies, and procedures including IT Handbook and
SOPs that govern TWC IT. -Contributes to teamwork and communicate
effectively. -Promotes an image of IT excellence. -Maintains a
reliable, predictable work schedule. May be called upon to work
outside of normal business hours to sustain operations or complete
urgent assignments. -Performs other duties as assigned to maintain
IT operations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelors degree in
computer information systems, computer science, management
information systems, or related technical field. -Skill in solving
problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing
programs. -Strong written and verbal communication skills to serve
as a technical consultant, clearly and accurately document relevant
issues, and prepare accurate, concise, reliable reports.
-Experience and understanding of relational databases and data
warehouses in professional development, like MySQL, SQL Server,
Oracle, or other popular RDBMSS work. Knowledge of best practices
for data modeling and data analysis and principles. -Design and
construction knowledge of large-scale data warehouses. Design,
development and implementation experience with cloud based ETL and
database technologies. -Knowledge of design, development and
testing of ETL architecture for enterprise dat warehouse; hands-on
expertise with ETL processes, development, data management, data
flows, data relationships, and data quality standards and
processes. -Experience with all aspects of Informatica Intelligent
Cloud Services (IICS), usage of secure agents in clustered
environment, ETL between on-prem and cloud data centers or
Informatica PowerCenter. -Experience with ETL of data from
different database platforms like Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and
DB2. Experience with optimizing and tuning ETL mappings; working
with database administrators to monitor performance as needed.
-Experience creating documentation and artifacts related to ETL
processes. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure like Amazon
Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. -Knowledge
in the areas of Reference Data, Data Quality, Metadata Management
with hands-on solution implementation. -Experience with data
warehouse modeling, design and development (relational and
dimensional) including recent experience with Data Vault 2.0
architecture and proven evidence to implement using Oracle. MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: -Systems Analyst II: Graduation from an accredited
four-year college or university with major course work in computer
science, computer information systems, management information
systems, or a related field. -Systems Analyst III: Graduation from
an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework
in computer science, computer information systems, management
information systems, or a related field, plus one year of full-time
experience in computer programming, systems analysis, and/or
program analysis or one year of full-time experience which provided
general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis. -Both
Levels: One year of full-time experience may be substituted for
each year (30 semester hours) of education. YOU GAIN: -A Family
