Our global Commercial Team is responsible for shaping new business, developing strategy, maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer needs are exceeded.

Responsible for all resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and executing field resource deployment to meet customer and business metrics
  • Supporting retrofit projects including installation, power up, and commissioning of: Excitation control solutions, Static Starter control solutions, HMI upgrades, and TIL implementation.
  • Supporting warranty administration and troubleshooting issues. Addressing customer service requests and leading customer issue resolution during warranty and post-warranty periods
  • Providing support to customers on client sites to ensure contractual agreements and frameworks are completed on schedule
  • Completing service time sheets, trip reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements including pre-mobilization and de-mobilization meetings and procedures.
  • Supporting factory acceptance tests, overall controls strategy for projects, and design of hardware and software configuration packages according to project requirements.
  • Managing the relationships with customers, business partners and suppliers, both internal and external, during installation, site commissioning and startup phases.

    To be successful in this role you will:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services).
    • Have at least 5 years of field engineering experience in power generation, industrial plant automation, DCS, PLC, and/or similar industry sectors
    • Be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload and display good communication skills with fluency in verbal and written English
    • Have experience in at least one of these areas: Turbine Controls, Excitation and generator protection systems, or Power Plant BOP systems
    • Be an experienced problem solver, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues
    • Be available to travel up to 50% of the time

      • This role is working with our customers on-site. You will be at times, requested with short notice for mobilization. You may have ownership of planning your work schedule with your supervisor and when onsite, you will have the flexibility to work in line with customer working patterns.
