Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help support existing business-critical applications as well as to help develop new apps to support our global engineering teams to deliver world-class products. The ideal candidate would have professional experience developing and deploying web applications according to today's best practices with a strong desire to learn new technologies and to help build better tools in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Own new features from design to production release
• Create and maintain quality software using best-in-class tools: Git, Bamboo, Artifactory, Docker
• Work with QA, product management, and operations in an Agile environment
• Participate in resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions
• Grow a high-performance production environment in a way that makes the system increasingly reliable
• Conduct peer code reviews and act as a resource for junior developers
  Requirements
  
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work well cross-functionally across multiple department
  • An analytical problem solver that is passionate about delivering a high quality user experience
  • Cross-browser development & compatibility experience
  • JavaScript, HTML, CSS3 and Less/SASS experience
  • Develop and design RESTful services and APIs
  • Strong programming experience with Java or Go or Python
  • Experience developing/maintaining PHP applications utilizing an MVC Framework (e.g. CodeIgniter, Kohana, Laravel)
    Preferred Requirements
    
    • Experience with MySQL and relational databases; familiarity with NoSQL
    • Experience with Node.js and frontend JavaScript frameworks like React
    • Experience with Linux
    • Familiarity with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure
    • Experience with Git best practices
    • Experience with Agile software development principals
    • Familiarity with JIRA issue management system and development workflows. Practical experience in the full software lifecycle - Gathering requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Maintenance, Monitoring
