The Business Products & Engineering (BPE) team builds products & tools to support our Meta Business Group (MBG) organization. MBG's mission is to empower our partners to fulfill their greatest ambitions by helping them unlock economic and social opportunity. As such, we at BPE are the backbone of the business, and our goal is to be the growth driver for the company. We develop the platform, infrastructure, and tools that run the business, and we optimize for the long-term success of our partners and customers. We're seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager who is used to supporting multiple product engineering, data engineering teams and various stakeholders. This is a global role and the Technical Program Manager will be partnering closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure we're building the right data systems, infrastructure, and solutions for our sales and support teams internally, as well as providing guidance on how to prioritize and make tradeoffs against the needs of the business. The TPM lead will work directly with product/data engineers and also influence other cross-functional teams to ensure we have the right vision and alignment across the business. This TPM will also be responsible for active, ongoing communication to our most stakeholders in MBG.

Technical Program Management - Business Products & Engineering, Data & Infra Responsibilities:

  • Partner with BPE Data Engineers to provide TPM support on Company-level data/infra priorities. Translate problem statements into priorities and business requirements for important platforms & infrastructure across MBG
  • Work with and influence company leadership and cross-functional teams, especially product management, engineering, and sales leadership teams
  • Influence the data strategy & ecosystem in MBG and determine the right long-term bets
  • Day-to-day responsibilities around structuring requirements on metrics, attributes, data, visualization details, specific UI navigation. Building a test and validation approach, leading user acceptance testing/launch readiness, key attention to data landing times, performance, data source dependencies while adhering to privacy and permissions policies
  • Partner with Privacy, PMM, Process & Risk teams across MBG and work cross-functionally with product & engineering managers to align on an MGB data vision/strategy
  • Drive MBG data & infrastructure strategy by leveraging quantitative and qualitative insights (industry research, competitive analysis, structured feedback, etc.). Own technical aspects of what exists now and what should change

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
    • 7+ years of technical data analysis, software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience
    • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery
    • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
    • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership
    • Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products
    • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience
    • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
    • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones
