Simply put, we take care of our advisors, so they can take care of their clients.Job Overview:Seeking an AVP - Sr. Architect (Technical Cloud Lead) for LPL 's Infrastructure Solutions Engineering organization. -This AVP - Sr. Architect (Technical Cloud Lead) will possess technical expertise and engineering / architecture skills which will allow them to be considered a leading subject matter expert for both Investor and Advisor themed technology as well as a lead for enabling Cloud based solutions. - In addition, this individual will possess the leadership qualities to step into the role of Technical Cloud Lead for the Infrastructure Solutions organization.This individual must be able to work and lead in a fast paced, start up like environment, assist to identify requirements and facilitate implementation, while following appropriate change control and release processes.Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, and facilitate implementation of current and future LPL products that require a thorough knowledge of the technologies and capabilities of the platform.
  • Manage the Portfolio and BAU workload for the Solutions Engineering Cloud team, delegating work appropriately and establishing themselves as the technical escalation point.
  • Collaborate to facilitate the implementation of current and future LPL products that require a thorough knowledge of the technologies and capabilities of the platform.
  • Collaborate with Automation team to continuously streamline Solution Orchestration and Configuration
  • Collaborate with Project Managers around project tasks
  • Assists with coordinating changes across multiple systems
  • Contributes to policies, procedures, and standards
  • Recommends changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performance
  • Participates in the creation and maintenance of delivery metrics, supporting continuous improvement.
  • Participate in application roadmap planning with stakeholders, application teams and engineering groups
  • Develop and maintain engineering process documentation standards / templates.

    • 5-10 years of experience in Cloud computing
    • 3-5 Years ' Experience Managing an Engineering / Dev- Ops TeamCore Competencies:
      • Experience in the following skill sets:
      • Experience with managing Public Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
      • Experience with MS Windows and/or Linux administration and troubleshooting
      • Experience with Orchestration / Configuration Management (Terraform, Octopus, etc.)
      • Experience as a Technical Project Management
      • Experience with Microsoft AD Setup, Configuration, and Management
      • Experience with Network protocols and diagnosing connection-related issues
      • Experience with Firewall Rule Management
      • Experience with Software Development LifecycleExperience with Identity ManagementPreferences:
        • Bachelor 's degree or technical institute degree/certificate
        • Certifications in any of the following (Microsoft, Redhat, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)
        • Scripting - PowerShell, Python, etc.
        • Security Best Practices for Cloud Solutions
        • Software Development Lifecycle and Version Control
        • Cloud Database Experience (Mongo, DocDB, RedShift, etc.)
