Job DescriptionThis is a Hybrid position within our IT Organization. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. We offer challenging positions for passionate professionals looking to advance their careers and be a part of an IT organization focused on innovation, speed, and business valueAbout the role:Sr UI Developer is responsible to provide creative and technical expertise to create modern, intuitive, and consistent user - experiences for sophisticated business processes, real-time data streaming, simulation, and robotic technology.Have a passion for front-end development and UI design. This role is for a creative individual that must have an eye for and the ability to code detailed design aesthetics. You'll help develop our sophisticated manufacturing apps and inspire the team by producing work that is always setting the standard and taking a people-first approach to solving problems. Your work will allow our customers to feel delighted every time they use our apps and services.Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition and communication of UI development standard methodologies
  • Full lifecycle application development using modern frameworks, libraries, and functional programming
  • Writing user documentation
  • Maintain standards compliance
  • Implement high-quality, self-documenting and maintainable code
  • Mentor and share your wealth of knowledge with our team
  • Performance tuning, usability assessment/improvement
  • Integrate software with existing software/systems
  • Automates unit/end-to-end testing of software systems within their domain, focused on software quality and maintainability
  • Provides guidance and mentoring of fellow software developers and other team members
  • Possess technical writing knowledge around system design specification and user documentation of software systems and ensure that user documentation meets GM standards i.e. configuration guides, install guides meet requirements
  • Full lifecycle development using standard frameworks and coding standards/patterns
  • Coding, unit testing and debugging applications in various software languages
  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
  • Implement localization or modernization of software
  • Work closely with senior developers and software engineers to gain additional knowledge and expertise.
  • Proactively work on software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatch, and security issues related to the code/configurationAdditional Job DescriptionRequired Qualifications:
    • 6+ years of overall web application development experience, with an emphasis on front-end development or creative technologist
    • 4+ years of proven experience using Angular or React
    • Worked as a key member of a UI design team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of optimally launched applications
    • Formal degree or equivalent working experience in the field of web development, user interface design, or related
    • Extensive UI Design experience and expertise in web and mobile development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including modern design standard methodologies
    • Passion for user experience design, improving usability, and continually learning and keeping your craft sharp
    • Portfolio of work that demonstrates detailed attention to typography, color, imagery, motion, and interactivity
    • Experience working with or creating design systems (Atomic Design, Material UI, CSS frameworks or libraries)
    • Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience
