Job Description:

The--Systems Administrator I--is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure with an emphasis on messaging products and services like Microsoft Exchange server, as well as assisting with the day-to-day operational activities of the Technology and Infrastructure team--in support of--CommUnityCare (CUC), Sendero, and Central Health (CH). This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure that supports our critical clinical and business systems. This Individual will work closely with other IT members and business teams to assist and coordinate incident remediation efforts. This individual will assist project teams with technical issues, primarily in the Initiation and Planning phases of the Project Management framework. These activities include technical reviews and strategy development. This individual will support the computer networks such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, telecommunications systems, and other data systems. The Systems Administrator I--will also perform other duties as assigned.Essential Duties:

  • Install, configure, and maintain systems and services which support the enterprise in achieving our mission, Including but not limited to: MS Exchange Servers (including patches and upgrades), Domain Controllers, Active Directory, print servers, and secure FTP servers.--
  • Develop operational processes and documentations in supporting the environment
  • Provide Level 3 support on issues escalated by Level 2 and other business teams
  • Manage the Windows domain user account and Exchange mailbox provisioning process including roles-based access permission controls
  • Provide user account administration for business and clinical software platforms as needed
  • Ensure compliance of solutions and processes to regulatory standards
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Works with other staff to serve as a Subject Matter Expert to effectively identify and communicate risks and assist with implementation
  • Participate in regular internal audits of HIPAA security controlsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Proven track record of delivering IT solutions and ability to be agile and work in a distributed environment
    • Ability to collect requirements, conduct briefings / presentations and ability to document policies and procedures, proposals, system configuration and change information
    • Good understanding of Exchange High Availability and capacity planning a plus
    • Good understanding of PowerShell and other administration scripting tools is a plusMINIMUM EDUCATION:
      • Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or
      • High school diploma and 5 years of experience in related fieldMINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
        • 4 years' experience in Windows Systems Administration with at least 2 years of experience administering Microsoft Exchange 2007, 2010, or 2013 or later
        • 2 years administering Windows Active Directory
        • 4 years of experience server/desktop hardware supportPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
          • Experience working as a systems administrator or support engineer in a healthcare environment supporting an EHR platformPREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
            • MCSE - Messaging, A+
            • ITIL Foundational v3
