SUMMARY:Tucker-Rose Associates is looking for a full time Sr. Developer (specifically, a SAS/AITC Mainframe Engineer) to support The US Department of Veterans Affairs' Cerner integration for the Managerial Cost Accounting (MCA) interface and Financial Management System (FMS) interface. RESPONSIBILITIES:-- Provide all necessary resources to modify specified VA systems in alignment with Cerner integration design.-- Work with the Cerner interface team to define/confirm the appropriate integration design.-- Document Workflows and processes.-- Identify gaps for integration; develop solutions.-- Define modifications to the VA system to support the integration as designed.-- Provide necessary development resources to make defined modifications to the system.-- Ensure code is released in alignment with the VA system release cycle as soon as possible.-- Conduct smoke testing on the system to ensure integration is successful.-- Provide support for end-to-end testing.REQUIREMENTS:-- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university within computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline.-- Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.-- Experience with AITC Mainframe, JCL, SAS, and Cobol.-- Experience and understanding of Financial Systems including but not limited to Revenue Operations, First-Party Billing, Claims.-- Ability to understand and report on technical discussions of IT problems and resolution efforts. -- Strong oral and written communication skills.-- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.-- Other tools and skills you will need include JCL, File-AID, and EJES.
