CAMPUS----Job Description:Manage the design, development and
deployment of websites and applications and administer and maintain
the University Development Office web infrastructure. Act as
primary developer and maintain all public-facing web applications.
Serve as subject matter expert in website usability, accessibility
and content management system deployment/development. ----Job
Details:Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain web applications on the
University's hosting infrastructure (Patheon, UT Web) using tools
including Apache, NGINX, Drupal, MySQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, and
Javascript.
- Complete external and internal web design and user interface
design projects from concept development to the production of the
final deliverable.
- Manage the daily maintenance, compliance, continuity and
security of the University Development Office web
infrastructure.
- Develop custom applications.--Participates in all levels of
custom application development from proposal through development,
implementation, operation, and retirement.
- Develop reports for website performance and quality
assessments. Manage Google Analytics on new and existing sites to
ensure successful benchmark.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies on website usage,
security and standards.
- Keep abreast of current and emerging internet standards and web
development trends, including new web client technologies and web
applications and make recommendations for new software acquisitions
or practices.
- Conduct research, user/usability/benchmarking tests, ideation,
sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital
products.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to
core, and new functions and features.Required QualificationsAt
least five years of professional web development and web
maintenance experience. Extensive experience developing,
maintaining, and theming open source content management systems in
a professional setting. Knowledge of web dev-adjunct technologies
such as the LAMP platform, HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks (such as
Boostrap or Foundation), Git version control, and SASS
jQuery/JavaScript a plus. Experience with a Linux/UNIX operating
system and command line tooling in a Web publishing environment.
Demonstrated understanding of the entire scope of complex,
database-driven Web applications. Familiarity with version control
systems, including git, a must. Understanding of information
architecture and user experience design. Demonstrated experience
with analysis and remediation of web-related accessibility issues.
Strong attention to detail/accuracy. Strong command of best
practices in SEO, analytics and reporting, and documentation.

effective problem solving skills,--using excellent judgment,
working independently and with teams, maintaining a professional

appropriate.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer
Science, Information Technology or related field. More than three
years relevant WordPress experience. An advanced understanding of
user experience design. Ability and eagerness to identify and
address opportunities and needs without specific direction.
Experience working in higher education or other complex nonprofit
entities. Experience working within a creative, marketing and/or
communications team. Strong sense of design principles.Salary
