IT Infrastructure Manager - TOP PUBLIC HEALTH ORGANIZATION - Austin, TX - Full-time Overview The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, communication, and management of the infrastructure team business continuity processes and functions. The IT Infrastructure Manager is accountable for oversight of the day-to-day operational activities of the Technology and Infrastructure team in support of CommUnityCare (CUC), Sendero, and Central Health (CH). This includes prioritizing teamwork efforts anticipating, recognizing and resolving issues overseeing team processes and assessing for areas of opportunity to improve effectiveness and efficiency. The IT Infrastructure Manager will be involved in everything from working with all other internal and external Joint Tech teams and vendors as necessary. The IT Infrastructure Manager will develop tools, processes, and procedures that incorporate best practices for all system hosting and security. This position works closely with the organizational security and privacy officers to enforce and improve security policies related to HIPAA, HRSA, NCQA, and other State, Federal, and accreditation requirements. The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for communicating barriers to the Joint Tech Directors and CIO and is responsible for adhering to the expectations of the CIO. The IT Infrastructure Manager will be expected to perform other duties as assigned to execute on the tasks related to the Enterprise and IT initiatives Responsibilities bull Directly manage staff, including hiring, firing, assigning and prioritizing work, setting employee goals, reviewing team performance metrics and completing performance reviews. bull Analyzes technology and infrastructure problems and develops solution-focused recommendations bull Performs vendor management and oversight as needed bull Designs, implements, and supports computing platform hardware, software, operating systems and infrastructure standards to meet application availability and performance requirements bull Works with other staff to serve as a Subject Matter Expert to effectively identify and communicate risks and assist with implementation bull Provides hardware and software support on installed systems to include the configuration, maintenance and update of these platforms bull Develop metrics to establish SLAs for systems, vendor services, as well as internal support process. bull Ensures systems are capable of being managed and monitored for availability and performance against overall Service Level Agreements (SLAs) criteria including reporting of capacity, utilization, trending and forecasting bull Create automated processes for system monitoring and administration bull Conducts research and analysis of new tools and technologies to improve existing solutions and to fulfill new system requirements bull Analyze current capabilities and projected organizational growth needs to ensure infrastructure can adhere to established SLAs bull Participate in maintenance and incident response functions and respond promptly to platform, application and data process issues in local and remote locations bull Create and document processes and procedures related to computing platforms, technologies, and system configurations bull Provides regular status and project updates to leadership including regular trends and statistics related to systems and overall health and metrics of the current infrastructure. bull Must be able to work outside of standard business hours. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Bachelorsrsquo degree in a technology-related field MINIMUM EXPERIENCE bull 5 years of experience as Systems Engineer with hands on experience in infrastructure design, automation and management of the systems, network, and databases within an enterprise environment. bull 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience managing technical employees bull Experience in designing, developing and implementing enterprise level system database and network solutions to meet current and future business needs. bull Experience with the creation and implementation of process, procedures and result metrics for the purpose of continuous operational improvement and SLA creation and adherence. bull Experience with high density Wi-Fi design, troubleshooting and maintenance. bull Experience supporting a large-scale Citrix XenApp environment for remote delivery application. bull VMWare vCenter design, deployment and management in a large-scale environment, as well as SAN and the systems needed to support a large virtual environment. bull Extensive Linux and Windows web server experience with administration and automation on a large scale. bull Experience with firewall implementation, support and maintenance, and strong understanding of network security. bull Experience implementing and maintaining Active Directory and Group Policy Administration to deploy applications and patches for a large environment. bull Domain and DNS management, along with SSL certificate management in an enterprise environment. bull Experience managing O365. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE bull Experience working as a systems engineer in a healthcare environment supporting an EHR platform bull Experience managing a SaaS platform, or Cloud Hosted Infrastructure (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)
