great place to work. The Role Recruiter/Sr. Recruiter and HR
Generalist Overview – We are seeking a Senior Recruiter & HR
Generalist to serve as the sole HR presence for our San Antonio, TX
call center operation. This is a recruiting-first role, with talent
acquisition as the primary responsibility, complemented by core HR
generalist duties that support day-to-day employee needs. This role
will be responsible for recruiting for both the San Antonio and VA
Beach call centers. This role is ideal for a self-directed HR
professional who is comfortable operating independently, partnering
closely with operations leadership, and balancing high-volume
recruiting with practical, hands-on HR support. This is a hybrid
work schedule, in office Monday - Thursday, and remote on Friday's.
Primary Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus – ~70%)
Own full-cycle recruiting for call center roles, including
high-volume hourly positions and select corporate roles Develop and
execute local recruiting strategies aligned to call center hiring
demands, seasonality, and attrition trends Proactively source
candidates using job boards, AI, social media, community
partnerships, referrals, and local pipelines Screen, interview, and
assess candidates for cultural and operational fit Partner with
call center leadership to define role requirements, recruiting
strategy, interview plans, and hiring priorities Manage offer
process, pre-employment requirements, and coordination with
onboarding partners Track, measure and report on recruiting metrics
(time to fill, funnel metrics, pipeline health, conversion rates,
training graduation rate) and provide insights to leadership HR
Generalist Support (Secondary Focus – ~30%) Serve as the on-site HR
point of contact for associates and leaders Provide guidance on
basic employee relations matters, escalating when appropriate
Support onboarding, orientation, and employee lifecycle processes
Assist leaders with performance management conversations and
documentation Ensure consistent application of HR policies and
practices Coordinate with centralized HR teams (Benefits, Payroll,
Employee Relations, Legal) as needed Maintain accurate employee
records and ensure compliance with employment laws and company
policies Required Qualifications 3 years of experience in call
center or high-volume recruiting role Proven experience owning full
life cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment, including
administrative recruiting tasks. Demonstrated sourcing experience
including passive candidate outreach using Boolean searches and AI
prompts. Experience developing and executing recruiting strategies,
not just filling requisitions. 2-3 years prior HR generalist
experience, particularly in employee relations, onboarding, and
manager support. Ability to work independently as a standalone HR
role. Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate
sensitive situations. Excellent written and verbal communication
and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience using ATS and HRIS systems, specifically Workday
Experience supporting hourly or call center populations from an HR
perspective Experience using AI in recruiting Familiarity with
Texas and Virginia employment practices Experience partnering with
centralized or corporate HR teams while operating locally How
