visiting our website The Manager, Payroll - NA will be responsible
for:--- Overall development and implementation of all facets of
Payroll in a growing organization. Manages and performs tasks
related to payroll, including the management and maintenance of the
payroll system, payroll processing, strategy development and
implementation, as well as managerial and statutory reporting of
key information.--- Leading a team of Payroll
Coordinators/Specialists and providing them with support and
ongoing training needed to maintain prompt and accurate payroll
processes. The Payroll Manager oversees the payroll operations of
the North American organization whichincludes but is not limited
to: processing payrolls in Ceridian, overseeing funding of 401Kand
HAS contributions, completing journal entries and account
reconciliations, processing stock option gains for W2 reporting,
and adherence to company payroll policies and control
procedures.Key Responsibilities and Duties--- Create and provide
the vision and coordination of payroll processes and systems to
manage complex challenges, while championing service excellence---
Manage leadership of payroll team, driving accountability and
development through coaching to drive results and team success.---
Lead a best-in-class payroll team accountable for the day to day
operations of the Payroll department.--- Ability to administer and
improve payroll system processes.--- Oversee the accuracy of
payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting and various
special payments in the United States (multi-state) and Canada to
ensure accurate and timely processing.--- Coordinates payroll
considerations with Corporate HR regarding Expats to ensure
accurate and timely processing.--- Understand existing and new
federal, state, and local legal requirements, enforce compliance
with requirements.--- Reviews federal, state and local taxes
processed through Ceridian, including setting up accounts with new
tax authorities.--- Implement process improvements to streamline
processes, ensuring best practice and efficiencies.--- Prepare
payroll and benefit related journal entries, account
reconciliations and general ledger analysis.--- Lead activities
related to potential mergers and acquisitions.--- Serve as primary
contact for the payroll portion of the annual financial statement
and benefit plan audits as necessary.--- Provides Subject Matter
Expertise and organizational recommendations for ensuring payroll
compliance with funding of 401kcontributions, 401k loans and HSA
deductions and changes.--- Participate in a wide variety of special
projects and compile a variety of ad-hoc reports.Education
Qualifications--- Bachelor's Degree in Business or
AccountingExperience Qualifications--- 7+ Years progressive
experience in a complex multi-state payroll environment required---
3+ Years management experience required--- 3+ Years experience in
implementing and/or managing payroll for multi-state US and Canada
preferredSpecific Licenses and Certifications--- Certified Payroll
Professional (CPP) preferredTraining and Skills--- Knowledge of
Ceridian's Dayforce payroll application--- Working knowledge of the
Dayforce and Oracle applications used for payroll entry and
financial reporting journal entries--- Advanced Microsoft Excel
skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications---
Demonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing
priorities--- Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing
with sensitive and private information--- Develop strong working
relationships throughout the organization at all levels--- Strong
verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills---
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a
fast-paced dynamic work environment--- Able to coordinate
effectively with employees and management--- Ability to work under
stress with tight deadlines while staying organized and focused to
