**This position is located in Austin, TX and is a hybrid (3 days a week) onsite position**
Team/Department Description:
The Human Resources department is a client services organization that works to serve 2 primary clients: the employees and the business. As such, we aim to be 3rd party neutrals who evaluate each client's needs individually as well as in conjunction with each other to provide fair and equitable proactive consultative advice and solutions in an attempt to benefit both. The HR team services the combined companies across the functions of employee relations, talent acquisition, HR operations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, HRIS, compensation, worker's compensation, performance management, learning and development, and project management.
About The Team:
The People Team at Auctane is dedicated to serving the needs of the business and the team members who keep it running. As a team, we work across employee relations, talent acquisition, HR operations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, HRIS, compensation, worker's compensation, performance management, learning and development, and project management. Though we're a fast-moving team with a lot of responsibilities, we work together to ensure that every aspect of an employee's experience is thoughtfully considered and weighed against the values of the organization.
The HR Business Partner reports to the Global VP of People. This role will partner with divisional leadership to enhance strategic planning, implement business initiatives while supporting the organization hands-on. **This position is located in Austin, TX and is a hybrid (3 days a week) onsite position**
Primary Objectives:

  • Build and maintain influential relationships by being a strategic partner with management and an advocate for employees.
  • Be a role model leader and an advocate of change, building organizational trust and promoting a positive workplace environment, partnering and communicating with leadership on trends.
  • Manage HR initiatives, interpret and apply policies and HR procedures, develop and maintain an effective new employee onboarding process.
  • Review, interpret, administer and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures partnering with the People Team and legal on any agency change responses.
  • Iterate on the company's policies and tailor them to help attract, develop and retain world-class talent. Lead employee relations and keep a pulse on happenings both big and small within the organizations you support
  • Conduct training sessions with managers and leadership, develop leaders
  • Partner with benefits team and provide guidance on benefits, compensation and company programs

    Essential Position Duties: (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives)

  • Develop and execute positive employee relations initiatives. Coach employees and managers on correct interpretation and administration of Company HR policy. Assist in maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Coordinate all phases of the new hire onboarding process

  • New hire orientation
  • Coordinates with IT and the training team to set up the schedules for all employees
  • Ensure managers have team meetings, trainings, welcome lunches, and expectation meetings

    • Ensure all employee data has been entered accurately into the HRIS platform.
    • Conducts touch-base meetings with all new hires

      3. Manage and coordinate promotions, internal transfers, and other employee changes
      4. Partner with HR management when conducting local-level investigations and resolving team member issues. Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
      5. Support the leave of absence process in partnership with benefits team and management to include team member accommodations, communication, etc.
      6. Other duties as assigned

      • Sit for prolonged periods of time

        • Utilize wrist and hands for a prolonged period of time

          Required Education and/or Experience:

          • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
          • (6+) year of experience demonstrating knowledge of HR practices, legal rules, and regulations.
          • Experience with a calendaring system, Google Calendar is preferred.
          • Experience in a corporate setting is strongly preferred.
          • Knowledge of an applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) is preferred but not required.

            Skills and Knowledge:

            • Exceptional attention to detail.
            • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, including commitment to producing quality results.
            • Exceptional organizational skills, ensuring that interviews are scheduled correctly.
            • Ability to work independently, problem-solve and prioritize multiple tasks.
            • Excellent written and verbal skills.
            • Proven ability to contribute in a high-paced environment that is ever-changing.
            • Ability to work within multiple time zones.
            • Ability to manage time effectively with little or no supervision.

              Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:

              • Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slide, etc.)
              • Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse preferred)
              • HCM experience

                Travel Requirements:

                • Less than 10%
