Position Description:
Responsible for the integrity and accurate processing of payroll related activities for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas and District Associations. Maintains documentation for all processes and procedures of this position. Main point of contact between Ag First and Associations.


Day to Day Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compiles payroll data and statistics to maintain records and for the calculation of payroll.
- Reviews and submits new hires, pay rates and changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, direct deposits, etc., in computer file.
- Keys new hires and terminations into HRIS system.
- Prepares and creates standard and ad hoc reports.
- Reviews and ensures accurate computation of pay and interprets company policies and
- government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
- Coordinates payroll with outside service provider, AgFirst Farm Credit for FCBT and Associations.
- Assists in both internal and external departmental audits.
- Prepares the initial salary budget spreadsheet for Associations upon request.
- Assist in the reconciliation of W-2 information and forms for all associations.


What You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum five (5) years' experience required. FPC or CPP designation preferred.
Specialized knowledge of payroll calculations and tax regulations. Specialized knowledge of payroll and financial business processes. Specialized knowledge of automated payroll systems/computer business systems. General knowledge of office equipment and systems used for the storage and retrieval of business information. General knowledge of standard records management and file classification practices. Specialized knowledge of written correspondence principles. Ability to communicate/coordinate effectively with all levels of management as well as with outside vendors; Ability to exercise sound judgment, use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to travel on a moderate basis. Skill in oral and written communication. Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
