Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Services Aide to join
our team. This role is crucial in our food and beverage operations
across our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. As a
Nutrition Services Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting
our commitment to exceptional care by ensuring patients receive
nutritious and well-prepared meals tailored to their specific
health needs. You will work closely with dietitians and kitchen
staff to prepare, deliver, and monitor patient meals, adhering to
strict health and safety regulations. Assist in the preparation and
delivery of meals to patients based on specific dietary
requirements. Ensure meal services are carried out in a timely and
respectful manner. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in
all work areas according to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers like dietitians to confirm
dietary requirements and meal plans. Stock and manage inventory of
kitchen supplies and food items. Adhere to all hospital policies
regarding patient confidentiality and ethical treatment. Knowledge
of basic nutrition and dietary needs. Ability to follow health and
safety regulations in food handling and sanitation. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with
patients and staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including
weekends and holidays if needed. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Food Handler's certificate preferred. CPR
certification is a plus.
