Job Title: Cafeteria Monitor / Cashier HOURLY POSITION WITHOUT BENEFITS

Reports to: Cafeteria Manager Wage/Hour Status: $15/hour, Up to 19 hours per week

Dept./School: Food Service Department Date Revised: 7/2022

Start Date: ASAP Work Days correlate with School Calendar
Primary Purpose:

Supervises the lunchroom to allow teachers a duty-free lunch period. The lunchroom monitor will be expected to enforce the rules and policies governing the lunchroom as established by the local school administration. The cashier will be expected to accurately key student ids to account for all meals distributed and perform other cashier duties.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED. Please submit a copy of this with your application.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

* Ability to relate to students and adults.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to work well with others.

* Able to lift 40 lbs (or the amount you feel the full garbage bags weigh).

* Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.

* Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.

* Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations

Experience:

Prefer some experience in working with groups of children or youth.
