The aim was to deliver an unmatched dining experience - one that improves the start of your day so dramatically, that it's impossible to go back to the way things used to be. Pairing genuine hospitality with world class coffee, and a seasonal food menu to match, Proud Mary is beyond excited to be opening its doors to the Austin community this August. Proud Mary is looking for passionate and energetic servers to join the team in our brand-new location in Austin on South Lamar. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You love a busy brunch and can hold down a section with ease. You re warm, engaging and gracious under pressure and understand how to guide the customer experience. You consistently maintain service standards and are an expert of the upsell. If that sounds like you, then we'd love to hear from you. RESPONSIBILITIES Service: Greet and engage with customers with a warm and friendly approach Seek to anticipate customers needs to deliver an exceptional dining experience Execute sequence of service efficiently and consistently Run food and coffee Operating POS systems to input orders, settle bills, monitor stock, transfer tables numbers Polishing, cleaning, and maintaining crockery Communicate clearly and kindly with all staff members. Operate in a speedy yet calm manner whilst monitoring your time management. Product Knowledge: Staying up to date with all current/daily menu offerings and availability Ability to describe each menu item, including individual ingredients, dietary requirements and allergens Understanding the story behind Proud Mary s coffee and tasting notes Educating customers on menu and coffee offerings Cleanliness & Maintenance: Follow safe food practices Clearing tables in a timely manner Keeping all stations/sections fully stocked (napkins, cutlery, glassware, water bottles) Completing end of day closing tasks, cleaning and keeping the cafe tidy EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE minimum 1 year experience in the coffee/caf /restaurant industry THE FUN STUFFWork with a team of hospitality professionals who are obsessed with breakfast, coffee and a cheeky cocktail Health benefits for full-time employees and sick pay Staff meals and discounts Education and growth opportunities with an ever-expanding company The best coffee and hotcakes in Austin
