      As a PRN Pediatric Registered Nurse in the PICU with Dell Children's Medical Center of TX, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. In this role, you will work 1 shift every pay period minimum with some weekend and holiday. These are 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm. During orientation, you will be required to work two 12 hour shifts per week for 4 weeks, this can include Saturday and Sunday to be able to get you through orientation timely.
      Responsibilities:
      • Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
      • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
      • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
      • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need
        Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
        • Required Credential(s):
          • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
          • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing . Education:
            • Diploma
              • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum completion of 1 year Work Experience:
                • Minimum of 2 years Pediatric ICU and/or Pediatric CV ICU experience Equal Employment Opportunity
