    The RN-Call Center provides patients with nursing support by telephone.
    Responsibilities:
    • Prepares documentation information and transmits medical information.
    • Provides non-judgmental triage and/or advice using the nursing process, specific protocols and established resources.
    • Directs callers to appropriate level of care and provides healthcare advice/education using assessment skills, approved guidelines, and knowledge of self-care practices.
    • Selects and delivers appropriate follow-up materials.
    • Provides professional, safe and effective care-related advice to patients.
    • Incorporates the utilization of selected patient electronic medical record into the decision making process.
    • Works various shifts in a 24/7 environment and complete assigned tasks as appropriate.
    • Collaborates and communicates with other members of the health care team, reports information to promote patient centered care for quality patient and unit outcomes of care processes and care coordination services.
    • Competently applies information resources technology and required processes to effectively communicate for quality patient outcomes and unit outcomes of care and processes.
    • Exemplifies professionalism: applies lifelong learning; contributes to the science of nursing; participates in governance; share knowledge to expand the scale and scope of best practices with others; builds the ethical, moral and regulatory base for best practices and processes of patient and unit care.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • May be required to be "on-call." What you will need:
      • Required Credential(s):
        • Certified Basic BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
        • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing. Education:
          HS or Equivalent
          • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
          • Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.
          • Three (3) years of nursing experience is required. Equal Employment Opportunity:
