We also engage our nurses in a Professional Portfolio program --- this program allows our nurses to advance in their career by involvement in projects and initiatives that directly tie into our network, hospital, and unit goals.--Our nurses share their expertise through collaboration with medical students, Residents and Fellows affiliated with the University of Texas Medical School at Austin and serve as preceptors for new nurses to the unit and for our Seton RN Residency members. Job Description Job Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. -- Responsibilities: Complex care of vulnerable infants and children is the specialty of our Pediatric Pulmonary nursing staff. You---ll participate in procedures such as mechanical ventilation management, noninvasive ventilation, tracheostomy tube management and changes, high flow nasal cannula therapy, point of care testing for blood gases and critical care panels. Our goal is to educate our patients and families about their disease processes and avoid readmissions by empowering them through knowledge and self-management. Our variable patient population includes patients from birth to 17 years old with diagnoses such as asthma, pneumonia, bronchiolitis, RSV, and new tracheostomy management.

- BLS Provider--credentialed from the--American Heart Association (AHA)--obtained within--3 Months (90 days)--of hire date or job transfer date.--
