Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse
(RN) for our Labor and Delivery (L&D) Transport team. This role
is critical as it involves the safe transport of mothers and
newborns between facilities or within our extensive healthcare
network. Working within Ascension's faith-based structure, you will
be a pivotal part of our commitment to compassionate, personalized
care, ensuring that both mother and child receive the highest
quality support during transportation. Safely transport mothers and
newborns between facilities within the healthcare network. Monitor
patient condition continuously and respond to any change in status
efficiently. Communicate effectively with healthcare teams at
sending and receiving facilities to ensure continuity of care.
Prepare and manage transportation equipment and supplies, ensuring
all are in proper working order prior to and after transport.
Document all patient care activities during transport according to
hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Participate in
emergency and non-emergency transports as required. Advanced
knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices. Strong
organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to work in high
stress environments while maintaining a calm demeanor. Proficiency
in using medical equipment related to in-transit patient care.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal
skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification. Neonatal
Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
