Ascension is actively seeking a dedicated RN Registered Nurse to join our emergency department (ED). Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs, including urgent and emergency interventions. Document patient findings and provide comprehensive report to healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, using computerized documentation systems. Respond to and refer incoming patient treatment requests to appropriate levels of care. Educate patients and families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication management strategies. Clinical skills in an emergency room setting Ability to make quick and accurate assessments Proficiency in using healthcare software and systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Capacity to handle stress and respond effectively to high-pressure situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to the State Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
