Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a PRN, night shift role at our healthcare facility. The Respiratory Therapist will be integral in providing care in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, where excellence and compassionate care are at the heart of our mission. This position focuses on assessing patient respiratory function, executing prescribed treatments, and providing support to recovery processes. The ideal candidate will embody our commitment to enhance patient outcomes and uphold the high standards of our respiratory care services. Assess patient respiratory ailments and administer prescribed treatments. Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and modify individual patient care plans. Manage ventilators and other respiratory care devices while monitoring patient responses. Document patient treatments and outcomes for clinical records and meetings. Educate patients and their families about respiratory disorders and maintenance plans. Profound knowledge of respiratory care procedures and protocols Proficiency in using ventilators, CPAP machines, and other respiratory equipment Ability to work independently and handle medical emergencies with a high level of care Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
