Job Description:
Touchstone Communities is seeking a Director of Clinical
Education and Infection Control to lead and innovate educational
strategies and infection control practices within our senior living
and long-term care facilities across Texas. This role is crucial in
ensuring high standards of care and safety are maintained, aligning
with our mission to provide tailored, compassionate care to our
elders. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in
clinical education and epidemiology, paired with a passion for
enhancing staff competencies and improving patient outcomes through
effective training and rigorous infection prevention protocols.
Develop and implement clinical education programs tailored to the
needs of staff and compliance with current healthcare regulations.
Oversee the design and delivery of training sessions, workshops,
and continuing education courses for all healthcare personnel. Lead
the infection control program, including surveillance, reporting,
and management of infection prevention measures. Evaluate the
effectiveness of training and infection control programs, and
implement improvements based on feedback and best practices.
Collaborate with healthcare leaders to promote a culture of
continuous learning and adherence to state-of-the-art infection
control standards. Stay updated with the latest developments in
clinical education and infection prevention to implement
cutting-edge solutions. Expert knowledge in clinical processes and
standards of care. Strong leadership and educational training
skills. In-depth understanding of infection control protocols and
epidemiology. Ability to design and implement effective training
programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 401k
Certified Infection Control (CIC) credential required. Active
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas preferred.
