Job Description Job Description We are seeking candidate for an Ophthalmic Technician position to become a part of our team! Experience is necessary. Responsibilities: Work up patients (take a medical history, check vision, eye pressures, etc.) OCT and VF testing Assist patients when necessary Assist the doctors with procedures and entering exam information in EMR Send prescriptions electronically or manually Communicate pertinent patient information to designated departments Send correspondence to referring physicians Supply patient education. Qualifications: Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician, OCT and VF testing Experience in performing FP/FA is a plus. Ability to build rapport with patients Strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well with others Patience with the elderly and those needing additional assistance Company Description We are a very busy and fast paced specialty clinic.
