Job Description Job Description Dental Hygienist with following responsibilities: - Screening patients during checkups and reviewing treatment plan with Dentist - Reviewing a patient’s dental history - Recommending care to improve a patient’s oral health - Teaching patients about proper teeth cleaning techniques - Performing preventive dental care - Performing scaling and root planning - Performing periodontal evaluations - Applying fluoride treatments - Taking x-rays and reviewing them for signs of dental diseases - Prepares treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials per prescribed procedures and protocols. - Performs procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. - prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient. - provides information to patients by answering questions and requests. - able to use Dental software. - maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. - maintains safe and clean working environment. - protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. - contributes to team effort.
