Ascension is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Tech to join our compassionate team. As part of Ascension, a leader in faith-based healthcare, you will be working at the forefront of the healthcare industry, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and techniques to deliver superior medical care. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our surgical services, ensuring patient safety, and supporting surgeons and other medical staff during operative procedures. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including ensuring that all necessary surgical tools and supplies are properly sterilized and assembled. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies. Maintain a sterile environment to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Help in applying dressings and preparing patients for transport from the surgical suite. Operate autoclaves, surgical lights, suction machines, and other technologies. Perform basic patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications under the direction of the attending surgeon. Maintain accurate documentation of all operations and patient statuses to uphold hospital procedures and legal guidelines. Proficiency with sterilization techniques Skilled in using and maintaining surgical equipment Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and patients Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain calm under pressure High attention to detail and precision Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
