Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,895 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ACLS BLS ENPC TNCC NIHSS Description: This position is a backfill contract role for an RN in the Emergency Room. The contract duration is for 13 weeks. RNs must be willing to float to facilities as needed. The unit has 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track rooms, and 5 behavioral health rooms. The total number of staff is 111, with various support roles available. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 for emergency department patients, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients. Key equipment includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Knowledge of EMR MEDITECH is preferred. Experience in trauma care and inpatient settings is advantageous. Expect to perform procedures such as splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation. Ideal candidates are multitaskers, team players, and self-starters. Dress code for RNs is navy blue scrubs. All established unit policies must be followed. The unit offers a dynamic work environment with active staff engagement, including committees and recognition programs.
